The Retirement Insurance Solutions Pyramid™ is a concept and plan of layering your retirement insurance needs one upon another based upon your priorities, your finances and the likelihood of a need arising where you will want and need a particular insurance product to meet a particular financial objective or life event.

Too many people when approaching retirement or age 65 think of only one or two insurance options for their retirement. The first, of course, being Medicare. After that, they tend to get their insurance out of order. The number one request I receive for additional coverage is for dental insurance.

Will you need dental insurance? Possibly. Can dental needs cost you thousands of dollars? Yes. But what will cost you more—a full set of dentures or two years in a nursing home? What you might spend on dentures would maybe get you a few months of care in a nursing home. So, wouldn’t it be smarter to put your premium dollars towards an insurance product that will protect your finances better and save you more money?
